30 Things That All Hollywood Movies Contain
Have you ever been watching a movie and known exactly what would happen next?
Chances are, the answer to that question is yes. Reason being, Hollywood is simply running out of original ideas and just keeps on recycling the same stuff in different packages. The Red Stapler Chronicles recently discovered an internal memo from one of the major studios that revealed that movie plots are constructed using a 2 page “Mad-Lib” type document.
Don’t believe me? Ask yourself this, Have you ever seen a movie that has not contained at least one of the following 30 characteristics:
1. A “post sex scene” in bed where the sheet miraculously is at waist level for the guy and chest level for the woman
2. A character dying and another character closing their open eyes after they take their last breath
3. A scene depicting a prison rape or a joke about it
4. At least one character being part of some type of organized crime
5. The appearance of a Nazi or a mention about a Nazi
6. A character with some type of mental disorder
7. A character that has appeared in a comic book
8. A scene in a courtroom
9. A scene in outer space
10. A plot that contains time travel
11. A movie that has Hobbits, Dwarfs, Elves, “little people,” or Munchkins
12. A movie that has or talks about a serial killer
13. The plot centers around some type of war
14. Any kind of ghost or supernatural reference
15. A character is involved in some type of redemption plot
16. A movie that contains some type of martial art or sword play
17. A character has some type of car trouble
18. There is some type of reference to Las Vegas
19. The movies contains at least one car chase
20. There is a scene at a hospital
21. A scene takes place at a train station, bus depot, or airport
22. A character tries to win back a girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse
23. At least one scene takes place at a high school or college
24. The plot contains some sort of hunt for some type of treasure
25. The movie contains an alien, zombie, warewolf, or vampire
25 The plot contains some type of forbidden love
25. One of the characters is a Secret Service, FBI or CIA Agent
26. An underdog story is part of the plot
27. A police officer is shown eating a donut, drinking coffee, or at a bar
28. A character commits some type of infidelity
29. The movie contains a cast member from Ocean’s 11 (1960 or 2001 version)
30. The movie contains a Disney/Pixar Character
Can you think of a movie that does not contain at least one of the above things?

Yes, this is absolutely true. It is all mix and match from about 30 possibilities. The executives sit around with their list of 12 movies ideas that they do every year and they say to their yes men “ummm ok so who should we cast for the aliens attacking the earth movie this year? Keanu Reeves or Johnny Depp” All the same movies.

First of all, great list. You’re right on.
BUT, I think we should be able to decrease the number of characteristics of each move. 30 is a lot.
I mean, isn’t “3. A scene depicting a prison rape or a joke about it” a stretch?
I would think there must be some other basic scenes that are common to the vast majority of films.

I tried to find a movie which hasn’t one of these points inside but I didn’t find yet. I have seen so many movies… I cannot believe it. Especially in Hollywood movies you find these characteristics.

I like this post. So funny but they’re all true. One fact that happened in most of all Hollywood Movies. They park their car anywhere else even in one of the busiest street/city in the world, NEW YORK. LOL!
