Make Money Promoting Free Magazine Subscriptions

As some of you have noticed, I have added a new widget to the left column of my blog (It is red and is titled Free Resource Center). So what is this all about? After seeing the widget pop up on several blogs, I decided to check it out and visited the RevResponse site. Basically, RevResponse will pay you every time someone signs up for a free magazine subscription. No, we are not talking about Sports Illustrated, Cosmo, or Time here. Instead, these are targeted Business to Business magazines.

How much money are we talking about here? Usually $1.50 (the minimum) per qualified subscription. RevResponse pays by check or Paypal and had a $50 minimum payment.

What is the catch? How does a company make money giving away free subscriptions? These magazines are designed for very specific niches that publishers would otherwise have a difficult time contacting. RevResponse finds their targeted audience for them.

Do you or the people who sign up for the free subscriptions ever have to enter any credit card information? Are these magazines free for a trial period, but then you will be sent a bill? NO on both accounts. This is 100% legit.

Don’t like the idea of killing trees to get a free magazine? Well, many of these magazines are available in digital form.

Now the real question. Why in the hell would bloggers be interested in these Business to Business magazines, even if they are free. After all, who wants their mail boxes full of magazines that they will just throw away? Well, as a vetran of many GPT sites, I have completed several offers that are similar to RevResponse to get these type of free magazines (namely via Mercury Magazines). Although some of the magazines are 100% useless to me, I have found that all the Computer magazines are very informative and help me keep up with industry news. Sometimes they have even spark an idea for a post–which any blogger knows is priceless.

As I result, I will be giving RevResponse a try on my sidebar and will even be checking out some of the Computer magazines. Just a heads up, you are going to see the blog world flooded with ads for RevResponse soon as they have announced that they will give you $50 for writing about their system on your blog. I would take advantage of this offer soon before it goes away!

I installed their widget on my blog about two months ago, but the results are quite poor. I am thinking about taking it off, but will wait for couple of months to see the trend.

I have not seen this one when I was browsing the internet about money making opportunities. It’s a good idea though to start and see how well I would do. Though I’m not really good with advertising, it doesn’t hurt to add a widget on the side of the blog. :)
