Making money vs. Saving Money

In my quest to save enough money to feel comfortable enough to change careers(knowing I will probably have to take a step back financially), I have stumpled across the million dollar question:  Should I concentrate on ways to save money and live frugally or should I concentrate on ways to make extra money??  The answer for me has been  to make extra money.   Although I will not ignore ways to save money, I just feel that life is too short to pinch every penny and deprive yourself.
