Well the rumors about Google updating their page rankings after only 2 months are true. Many bloggers discovered today that they had either gained or lost some Google page rank. As for The Red Stapler Chronicles, I was downgraded like a hurricane hitting landfall from a Page Rank of 4 to a 3. Oh well, at least I was not downgraded all the way to a Tropical Depression
Although I am not exactly thrilled with this latest development, I am not going to let it bother me. Page Rank is just a number and is definitely one of the most over-rated statistics out there in the blogging world. Still, since many are obsessed with this ranking, I offer all the bloggers out there a simple parody of a famous Bobby McFerrin song.
Here’s to those left in a fog
Wondering why Google hurt their blog
Don’t worry, keep blogging.
Page Rank is not the most important thing
Alexa is flawed and content is still king
Don’t worry, keep blogging.
Don’t worry, keep blogging now. . .
Can’t believe your page rank is gone
It even happened to Garry Conn
Don’t worry, keep blogging
Stressed about your search results
Tired of all these Google insults
Don’t worry, keep blogging
Don’t worry keep blogging now. . .
Sad to say I’m down across the board… I heard it might have a lot to do with hosting all my sites on the same server/IP Anyways grats to your increase and best of luck next time around for those how didn’t do so well!
One of my sites went down. Yet, another indication that Google is getting more restrictive everyday.
I got an increase of PR 1 from zero
ZK@WebTrafficROIs last blog post..
Congrats to all those that gained rank. To those that lost rank, let me quote former president Clinton, “I feel your pain.:

Thanks to everyone who commented!!!
Like you, I went from 4 to 3. However, I’ve not noticed any real effect on my bottom line, so I’m not very concerned about it. I’m sure it will come back with the very next update. When it boils down to it, there’s not a lot we can do about it, and it is tremendously over-valued.
Thanks Andy!!
Yea I have a friend who went to PR 4 then dropped to 2 but they shot him back up to 4 a couple of days later. Also true PR is overated but it can bring a lot of instant respect to a site.
I had two of my blogs increase rather than the other way. From a PR 0 to PR4. Not really sure how that happened but still waiting to see if I will drop. But it’s been over two weeks now.
