The Top Ten Rejected Super Bowl Commercials

Every year, millions of Americans gather in front of their televisions to watch the Super Bowl.  In fact, last year an estimated 98 million viewers watched the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Arizona Cardinals in thrilling fashion.

Even non-football fans tend to watch the Superbowl for various reasons.  Some watch for the half time show.  Others might watch it just because they are at one of the countless Super Bowl parties that will occur and want to keep up with the conversations.   But the number one reason why a non football fan watches the Super Bowl is clearly the commercials!

Advertisers pay up to $3 million dollars per thirty seconds to get their ad on during the Super Bowl.  Even in this tough economy, there will be some ads that just don’t make the cut.  This year, The Red Stapler Chronicles is proud to share with you the story boards of the top ten rejected Super Bowl commercials.

    Snooki & her friends probably will help Jersey tourism! I would play stupid farmville if it would guarantee the keys to the secrets of Lost. Maybe you could moonlight as a commercial writer…

  2. hahaha, these are so funny, you just made my day. Funny how Tiger no longer “just do it.” These should definitely get in!

    Definitely some laugh out loud moments in this post. I’ll be interested to see the Tim Tebow Superbowl Ad on Sunday–it’s been getting quite the controversial buzz over the last few days.

  4. hahah funny post. But I love the one with Farmville lol :)

    using avatar for dating site?LOL
    my conclusion the ads really waste of time and money

  6. Imagine if the husbands had called, and it was the wives with their heads up their asses. Apparently, feminists and whipped metrosexuals have taken over the ad-selection functions for the Superbowl.

  7. I like the commercials that are not based on pain the most.

    For example, the best dating site in the universe is based on inclusiveness. It is in good taste, puts a smile on one’s face, and doesn’t involve a mental follow through that involves embarrassment, pain or vulgarity in any way.

    LO. This is really hilariou8s. I liked the toyota and tiger woods ones. Those two are my personal favs. Keep it up. Your site never fails to impress.

  9. My favorites were the Toyota and Slimfast ads. My wife and I tivoed the superbowl just to watch the commercials. No wonder why people are paying three million per 30 seconds for a commercial. I don’t think that any other show on television gets as much publicity as the superbowl in terms of commercials.

  10. Snookie!!! she can help bring people to jersey!!

  11. Careful or your going to cause a New Jersey tourist boom….Classic

  12. It shocks me that anyone cares about Snooki. There have been hundreds of reality TV characters that are more interesting than her.
